Bus service between Sharjah and Oman to begin soon

  The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has approved the commencement of a transport service between Sharjah and Oman, following an agreement between the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) and Oman National Transport Company – Mwasalat.

 There will be daily service between Al Azaiba Bus Station in Muscat and Al Jubail Station in Sharjah. The judgement was confirmed by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the chairman of the SEC, Crown Prince, and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

  In other headlines, the national transport corporation of Oman, Mwasalat, started operating buses to the United Arab Emirates again in October of last year. The bus route travels from Muscat to Abu Dhabi and back via Al Ain.

Other initiatives signed off by the SEC

  The SEC meeting also approved the Model Farmer’s Guide’s debut. The handbook will assist the emirate’s objective of promoting nutritious food devoid of toxins and inspiring locals to launch sustainable farming endeavours and become successful business owners in productive agriculture.

  Educating people about the sustainability of the agricultural production process will also serve as a resource for aspiring business owners and those interested in agriculture.

  Additionally, the council authorised a two-year, 50% exemption for 102 projects from government agency fees. The initiatives, which total Dhs1.086 million, involve a range of commercial endeavours across all of the emirate’s towns and areas.  This is relevant to initiatives supported by RUWAD (Sharjah SME).
