Wahat Al Karama
Wahat Al Karama is a memorial to Emirati martyrs and is exquisitely crafted as a lattice of 31 tablets with remembrance quotations and poetry. The building is lovely during golden hour, but the daily Honour Guard march before sunset makes it much more deserving of a visit.
Jebel Hafeet
Even though it takes two hours to get there from the capital, it is well worth the effort to see giant yellow making its presence known on the landscape. The mountain that guards the city of Al Ain is 1,240 metres tall and offers sweeping views of the desert and Oman.
Al Ain Zoo
Catch the sunset at the biggest zoo in the area to make it feel more like an expedition in the wild. Watch the sun go down with gazelles, giraffes, ostriches, jaguars, gorillas, crocodiles, and other animals.
Observation Deck at 300
At 300 metres above sea level, the Observation Deck 300 is a great place to watch the sunset. Large glass windows with picture-perfect twilight rays are found in Abu Dhabi’s highest vantage point. Prepare your cameras.
