This museum may  found inside the old Al Hisn Fort, which constructed in the 18th century to ensure that the city of Sharjah was against invasion. In 2003, the Sharjah Maritime Museum opened to the public in the Al Mareijah neighbourhood, its history thus far dates to that year. Many changes followed, and by 2009 it had relocated to the Al Khan neighbourhood. Exhibits that tell the story of the city’s marine life over the past 6,000 years through 800+ painstakingly constructed models are fascinating, informative, and fun.

When visiting the United Arab Emirates, many people stop by the Sharjah Maritime Museum.  The museum, which has been open since 1997, occupies a space of almost 13 thousand square metres. More than 200,000 artefacts, including ships’ machinery, artworks, pictures, and archival materials, are displayed in the museum. 

The museum preserves and displays artefacts, pictures, and documents relating to the U.A.E.’s maritime history. All guests are welcome to the museum at no charge. Anyone curious about the region’s maritime past should make a trip to the Sharjah Maritime Museum.

The real Arabian pearls have retained their brightness and glitter through the ages. One of the oldest pearls in the world was recently found in a seaside cemetery in Sharjah, and they were collected in awe of the incredible specimen unearthed there.

The museum also provides insight into the fascinating world of scuba diving, old-fashioned fishing techniques, and trading and scuba excursions. Every year, the Sharjah Maritime Museum conducts various celebrations & festivities dedicated to cleaning the beach and port to reduce waste and maintain natural resources.

Located 44 kilometres from Dubai International Airport and 24 kilometres from Sharjah International Airport. What is special about the Sharjah art museum?

Is Dubai Underwater Zoo Worth It?

Ans – The marine mammal collection is substantial, and a wide variety of species are represented. The aquarium tunnel is a modest attraction that isn’t worth the price of admission if you’re going to be walking through it. The sight from the mall is much better, and it’s free. An adventure is worth it, particularly if you have kids.
