Arada awards contracts worth $256m to build 986 homes at Sharjah’s Masaar

To develop 986 new homes across two residential districts at Masaar, Sharjah’s massive woodland project. Arada has been given two significant contracts totalling AED 939 million. Sharjah Masaar is an $8 billion development with 4,000 residences scattered over seven gated districts and a master plan inspired by nature, with more than 50,000 trees.

Pivot Engineering & General Contracting, an Abu Dhabi-based company with more than 44 years of experience in the local market, got the contract to construct 421 villas and townhouses in Masaar’s second residential phase, Kaya, valued at AED401 million. It will take 18 months to complete Kaya’s construction, starting immediately.

AED 538 million contract to construct 565 villas and townhouses in Robinia, Masaar’s third residential phase, was given to Intermass, a reputable Sharjah-based builder already working on the Masaar Jobsite to complete Sendian, the first residential phase. Nasma Residences and Aljada are two further projects for Arada on which Intermass has collaborated. It will take 17 months to complete Robinia’s construction, starting immediately.

As a result of the award, Masaar is now building 1,416 homes, with the first phase expected to be finished by June 2023.

With delivery anticipated for the end of 2024, sales for Azalea, the fourth phase of Masaar, started earlier in November. 566 properties make up Azalea, with sizes ranging from two-bedroom townhouses to six-bedroom villas.

The Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, formally opened Masaar in September. It was named Master Plan Project of the Year by the Design Middle East Awards 2022 in November.

Masaar is conveniently situated in the emerging Suyoh neighbourhood, adjacent to Tilal City, the Sharjah Mosque, and Arada’s first venture, Nasma Residences. Easily accessible from Emirates Road and Mleiha Road, the neighbourhood is 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 15 minutes from Sharjah International Airport. The area is perfect for an easy commute from Sharjah to Dubai or the Northern Emirates with minimal traffic.
